In a rare occurrence, the blossoms were still on the trees around Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. It was a magical day–the weather was actually “hot” after a long winter of unusually cold, snowy weather in the Nation’s Capital. So, we rejoiced as we slipped off our jackets, donned sunglasses and were entertained by so many talented singers, dancers, bands and artists. It was especially fun seeing my oldest daughter on the Donate Life Float next to Miss America! A day we will never forget.
