This has been an unusually cool spring in the Nation’s Capital with temperatures hovering around 60° and at night around 50 degrees, with lots of blustery and rainy days too. Normally, late May in DC is warm, humid, almost-beach weather. Because of the cooler spring temperatures, here are some ideas for what you can wear when visiting Washington DC in 2025.

Jackets or long sleeve shirts are a must when it’s cool and windy. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and watch the crosswalk signs before walking into the street, please.
Most spring days have windy, so a tight fitting baseball hat is a good idea for sun and rain.
Inspired by Beyonce? Boots are now a year round staple with dresses and shorts.
By the afternoon, it often warms up nicely, so skirts with sneakers is a great look
Shopping on 14th Street. A cross body bag is a practical and stylish choice for a day in the city.
