Dulles Airport’s Bar Symon—Now You’re Glad You Got There Early!

If you’ve watched celebrity chef Michael Symon in action, either on Iron Chef or The Chew, you probably thought he was adorable (if you’re female) and manly (if you’re male).
Symon is known for elevating traditional American dishes from the heartland by using prime cuts of meat and layering on his signature toppings. The guy puts barbeque on a basket of fries and calls it “Porky Fries.”
So, when Bar Symon opened last month at Dulles Airport, the whole waiting-around-for-a-plane got a lot better.

It’s nice to know that on the other side of Security Limbo awaits a beefy burger, succulent pulled pork burritos, clever cocktails, or a wide selection of craft beers on tap. The restaurant also serves Symon’s signature condiments, like Coffee flavored BBQ sauce and flaming-hot Siracha Mayo.

Bar Symon is one of several new eateries installed in DC Area airports. Other notable dining venues that have opened in airports in the last few months include:
Ben’s Chili Bowl in Reagan National
Rams Head Tavern in BWI
Chef Geoff’s in Dulles

Seems like I hang around Dulles a lot. This will make it more of an event.
